PURPOSE:To effectively use a built-in memory without allowing an application program to be irregularly started in a POS system to reside in the built-in memory by including a dynamic load management table for managing the operation of a POS controller device at the time of receiving a telegram trigger from a POS terminal equipment in the POS controller device itself. CONSTITUTION:At the time of starting, the POS controller device 11 loads only minimum programs and allows the loaded programs t reside in itself When a non-resident application program is required, the POS terminal equipment 13 transmits a trigger telegram to the controller 11. At the time of receiving the trigger telegram, the controller 11 loads the required application program from an external memory 14 such as a disk drive under the management of its built-in dynamic load management table 15. Thereby the effective use of the built-in memory in the POS controller 11 can be attained. |
