PURPOSE:To improve processing efficiency concerning the error control system for a communication system connecting an input/output equipment through an input/output controller to a host computer. CONSTITUTION:At data reception control parts 7 and 15 for the input/output controller or the input/output equipment, a parity error detecting means 19 is provided to detect parity error in transmitted/received data, a detecting time number storing means 21 is provided to store the number of times for detecting the parity error, a designated time number storing means 17 is provided to store the number of times for designating the parity error in the transmitted/ received data allowable based on the contents and length of the transmitted/ received data, and an error control means 20 is provided to execute an error processing by comparing the number of times for detecting the parity error with the number of times for designation. |
