<p>PURPOSE:To provide the subject deinking agent containing a polyhydric alcohol fatty acid ester derived from a polyhydric alcohol, a higher fatty acid or its functional derivative and an alkylene oxide and capable of giving a high-quality reclaimed pulp having high whiteness and low residual ink content. CONSTITUTION:The objective deinking agent for the veclamation of waste paper is produced by compounding (A) a polyhydric alcohol fatty acid ester added with an alkylene oxide and produced by reacting a >=4C polyhydric alcohol (e.g. pentaerythritol), a higher fatty acid or its functional derivative (e.g. hardened beef tallow fatty acid) and p-toluenesulfonic acid monohydrate as a catalyst under heating and reacting the obtained polyhydric alcohol fatty acid ester with a 2-4C alkylene oxide (e.g. propylene oxide) and (B) a compound expressed by formula I (R1 is 8-24C alkyl; AO is 2-4C oxyalkylene; m is 5-100) or formula II (R2 is 7-23C alkyl or alkenyl; M is H, alkali metal, etc.).</p> |
