The interconnecting beam sections have a rectangular cross-section and at least on the outside there is a rail engagement face (15),extending in the axial direction of the beam section. The undercut engagement faces are defined by webs (6.1) arranged in pairs in the area of each of the outer edges of the beam sections. The rail engagement faces have turned-up link blocks which slide in the engagement faces so that two beam sections can be connected together. The webs of the rails are preferably T-shaped. At least one part of the beam sections can be a hollow section with a cavity (13.1) in which a further beam section of smaller cross-section can slide with keyed engagement to form a telescopic beam. <USE/ADVANTAGE - For making pallets,crates etc,with simple,low-cost mfr.using recycled plastics.
