<p>PURPOSE:To directly grasp the advancing ratio of a final roll mill with high accuracy by measuring the lag between the actual start time when a plate starts to pass and the displayed start time in two measuring devices, detecting and operating the displayed passing time of the rolled plate of the two measuring devices. CONSTITUTION:The difference DELTAT1 between the actual start time when a plate starts to pass through a first measuring device and the displayed start time T1 is the time lag of the rise proper to the device, which is measured beforehand. Similarly, the difference DELTAT2 between the actual time and the displayed start time T2 is measured for a second measuring device beforehand. Supporting that the distance between the devices is L, the speed Va of a roll material sent out from a roll r6 is operated according to an equation Va=1/{T2-DELTAT2)-T1-DELTAT1)}. Accordingly, the advancing ratio S of the final roll mill is obtained by S=(Va-Vr)Vr wherein Vr is the peripheral velocity of the roll. Therefore, S=[L/{T2-DELTAT2)-(T1-DELTAT1)} -Vr]/Vr is held from the two formula. The lag of the rise of the measuring devices is thus corrected, and the advancing ratio of the final roll mill can be obtained with high accuracy.</p> |
