The appts. contains a generator of low frequency pulsed electrical current connected to a transmitting antenna. The antenna field acts upon the region of a body to be treated. The transmission power level is selected so that the energy induced in the electrolytic liquid e.g. blood in the vessel walls and membranes exceeds the thermal energy and lies within the cell-specific amplitude window. The generator supplies the pref. non-inductive coil with a basic current pulse, pref. at 200 Hz, contg. a rectangular pulse with superimposed e-function current. The basic pulse (P13) sequence is amplitude modulated at .5 to 35 Hz and transmitted for .3 to 1 seconds followed by a pause (Pp1) of .7 to 5 seconds.
