PURPOSE:To improve the number of re-writings while maintaining an excellent recording sensitivity by forming a recording material to form a recording layer of which the optical characteristics reversibly change with a mixture between a mixed body with Ge, Sb and Te, and a mixed body of group Vb and group VIb elements. CONSTITUTION:The subject optical recording medium is equipped with a recording layer of which the optical characteristics reversibly change by means such as light or heat, etc., on the substrate. In this case, the recording material which forms the recording layer is formed by a mixture between a mixed body of which the principal ingredients are Ge, Sb and Te, and a mixed body of which the principal ingredients are group Vb and group VIb elements. For example, the phase changing type recording medium is constituted by laminating a light incidence side protective layer 2, a recording layer 3, a light permeating side protective layer 4, an ultraviolet ray cured resin layer 5 and a protective acrylic plate 6 orderly on the upper surface of an acrylic substrate 1. The recording layer 3 is laminated by the simultaneous sputtering method usign two targets of 2(GeTe)(Sb2Te3) and BiSe. |
