PURPOSE:To prevent inadvertent movement of carriage located at home position under a state where a cover body 12 is opened. CONSTITUTION:An engaging hole 8e is made in the bottom face if a carriage 6a and an anti-motion member 8a is disposed at the home position of the carriage 6a so that the anti-motion member 8a engages in the engaging hole 8e when the carriage 6a moves to the home position. The anti-motion member 8a is further interlocked with the open/close motion of a cover body 12 so that the anti-motion member 8a can engage in the engaging hole 8e under open state of the cover body 12. Consequently, inadvertent movement of the carriage 6a is prevented when the cover body 12 is opened in order to replace a recording head 6b. |
