The hollow body (4) has a frusto-conical or truncated pyramid shaped guide wall (5) forming a flushing chamber whereby the guide wall is aligned with the through opening of the slider (1). A rinsing water chamber (8) encloses an area of the guide wall containing circumferentially spaced out openings (9) for the rinsing water. The guide wall extends close up to the slider plate (2, 3) and forms a narrow gap opposite the boundary wall (12) of the rinsing water chamber (8) facing the plate (2, 3). When the slider is opened the main amount of fluid flows through the slit between the guide wall (5) and lower wall 12) of the housing (10). When the slider is closed the main amount of water flows towards the centre of the hollow body. ADVANTAGE - There is reduced current eddies resulting in reduced wear on the slider plate.
