PURPOSE:To select a font having an attribute, to which selection is commanded, in a short time from a plurality of kinds of fonts, and to vary the font, which can be selected, easily. CONSTITUTION:A font controller has the attribute information storage means of a plurality of kinds of fonts, an operation input means, a means forming retrieval data in response to an operation input, a means forming priority data in response to the operation input, a means reading and comparing the attributes of fonts, in which retrieval data are formed, from the attribute information storage means in order of higher priority when the selection of fonts is commanded by assigning attributes, and a means selecting the font of the attribute coinciding with the assigned attribute. |
