摘要 PURPOSE:To make the capacity of the title device large and to use the title device repeatedly by a constitution wherein an electrolyte ocntains cations, a material constituting one pair of electrodes contains a spinel-type structure unit, the cations creep into and are housed in one electrode and the cations creep out from the other electrode. CONSTITUTION:A meterial which has mixed an Fe3O4 powder with a PTFE powder and which has pressed them to be pellet-shaped is used for an electrode 21; pellet-shaped LiFe3O4 in which said substance has doped with Li is used for an electrode 22. The electrodes are connected to a constant-current power supply by using lead wires 31, 32; the Fe3O4 electrode is used as a cathode and the LiFe3O4 electrode is used as an anode; an electric current is made to flow. Then, Li<+> creeps into the Fe3O4 electrode until Fe3O4 is changed to LiFe3O4. On the other hand, Li<+> creeps out from the LiFe3O4 electrode until LiFe3O4 is changed to Fe3O4. A potential difference is caused between both electrodes. The electrode which has become Fe3O4 is used as a cathod and the electrode which has become LiFe3O4 is used as an anode. A potential difference is caused between both electrodes. This operation is repeated.
