PURPOSE:To improve the visual recognizability and the visual guidability by controlling a road information display means in accordance with the approach condition of a vehicle by a detecting means to display a prescribed lighting pattern. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle 301 is distant from an intersection 300 and does not pass a sensor 303 yet, a guidepost 302 is extinguished by a lighting controller 307. When the vehicle passes the sensor 303, the lighting controller 307 controls flickering of the guidepost 302 to inform the driver of the vehicle 301 of approach to the intersection 300. When the vehicle 301 passes a sensor 304, the lighting controller 307 continuously lights the guidepost 302. When the vehicle 301 passes a sensor 305, the lighting controller 307 extinguishes the guidepost 302 because the vehicle 301 enters into or passes the intersection 300. |
