Mortar cladding for pipes and fittings consists of a mixt. of 1 pt. alumina cement and 2 pts. quartz sand, in which up to 50% of the cement is replaced by a piezzolanic material. Pref. the piezzolanic material is blast furnace slag. The pref. proportion, depending on the application, is 25-40%. ADVANTAGE - Reduced reaction time, less shrinkage.
