PURPOSE:To obtain a distortion effect even though a musical note signal is damped, irrespective of the level of the musical note signal. CONSTITUTION:A level detecting circuit 4 detects an envelope of a musical note signal so as to generate an envelope signal. A signal deformation circuit 5 deforms either one of the input signal and the envelope signal. Through this deformation, of the input signal having a peak which becomes relatively larger than that of the envelope, a part whose absolute value is larger than that of the envelope signal is distorted by an envelope signal. |
