PURPOSE:To construct a polishing device of balance type equipped with a grinder element at one end of a swing arm, in which the balanced state of the swing arm can automatically be adjusted by the use of a motor. CONSTITUTION:A pivot shaft 11 as the center of swing arm 10 rotation is embodied as a stationary shaft. The swing arm 10 is fitted with a grinder element 14 driven by a motor 18a. A balance weight 19 is displaced to the desired position by a motor 21 and a rotary shaft 20, and thereby the contact pressure of the grinder element 14 is adjusted. To adjust the vertical motion of the swing arm 10, a balance adjusting motor 23 is installed on the swing arm side to rotate a screw shaft, and a contact piece fixed to the pivot shaft 11 is relatively pressed through displacement of an operator piece engaged by the screw shaft, and thereby the swing arm is swung up and down. When the grinder element touches the object to me ground, the operator piece goes apart from the contact piece, which is sensed to serve stopping the balance adjusting motor 23. Thus the swing arm is put in a balanced state. |
