<p>PURPOSE:To allow the volumetric reducing and thickening of all of solid components, salt components, oxides of metals, and the combustion ashes, etc., in waste combustion gases to concd. waste water or solid components by providing a gas-liquid contact device which brings a part of the waste combustion gases before being passed through a desulfurizing device and the waste water discharged from the desulfurizing device into contact with each other. CONSTITUTION:The waste water from the desulfurizing device for absorbing and separating the gaseous sulfur dioxide in the waste combustion gases by an alkaline agent is once stored into a raw water tank 1 and is then supplied to the gas-liquid contact device 2. The waste water is circulated by a circulation pump 3 in order to be brought into direct contact with the waste combustion gases supplied by a line e in the gas-liquid contact device 2. The moisture in the waste water is evaporate at the time of this contact and the non- evaporating components, such as solid components, salt components, oxides of metals, and combustion ashes, contained in the waste water are thickened. In addition, the discharged water volume is reduced as well. These components are thereafter discharged from the gas-liquid contact device 2.</p> |
