PURPOSE:To improve sealability between the valve body of a pressure adjusting valve and its seating face relating to a fuel cap for adjusting the inner pressure of a fuel tank. CONSTITUTION:A pressure adjusting valve 41 regulates the inner pressure of a fuel tank by opening and closing a flow passage hole 33 of a cap body 5. The valve body 43 of this valve 41 rests on a valve seating face 35 according to the force of a spring 71 and the inner pressure of a fuel tank. The valve body 43 is formed integrally of a supporting part 47, a connecting part 55 and a flat plate part 53 and the flat plate part 53 closes a cap body 31 by being pressed against a lip part 37 thereof. In order to enhance sealability, the pressure adjusting valve is provided with the lip part formed in the cap body molded from the resin excellent in fluidity and the flat plate part 53 formed on the side of the valve body 43 made of the rubber high in fluidity. Since the flat plate part 53 can be formed into a highly accurate contour upon molding, this method provides an improved sealability of the cap to the lip part. |
