PURPOSE:To miniaturize the device by erasing a visible image recorded on a recording medium capable of recording and erasing the visible image while heat energy given to the recording medium in response to the position of the recording medium is changed through an erasing means having a thin-film heating element section. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium is carried by carrying rollers 1, and carried to a thermal head 1 for erasing, in which a thick-film heating resistor 8 is formed onto a substrate 7 in a beltlike shape. The recording medium is given heat energy in conformity with erasing timing using an output from a position detecting sensor 6 as a reference while the recording medium is pushed and conveyed together with a platen roller 3 by the thermal head 1 for erasing, and the recording medium is made transparent, but heat energy is controlled so as to give larger heat energy at the terminal section of the recording medium. The recording medium is carried to a thermal head 2, and recording is conducted while the recording medium is pushed and conveyed by a platen roller 3, but pulse voltage corresponding to a picture signal is applied selectively at that time and the recording medium is clouded partially and a visible image is recorded. |
