<p>PURPOSE:To lessen the number of parts of an apparatus and reduce the number of assembly processes and manufacturing cost by making a pressure releasing member opposing to a roller work also as the deformation preventive member of a bearing. CONSTITUTION:A fixing roller 3 is supported on a fixing apparatus main body frame a through bearing 2 for supporting the fixing roller 3 ratatably. A pressing roller 4 is brought in pressure contact with the fixing roller 3 while a pressing bearing 5 being pressed a compressive spring 8, and forms a pair of rollers consisting of the fixing roller 3 and the pressing roller 4. A pressure releasing member 1 to release pressure working between the pair of the rollers is installed ratatably on the outer circumference of the bearing 2 and a rotary lever 1a to carry out pressure releasing detion and a cam part 1b in contact with a pressing bearing 5 are also installed. As a result, jammed recording materials are removed from a nip part without being torn. Furthermore, the pressure releasing member 1 also works as a member to prevent the deformation of the outer circumference of the bearing 2 by heat. That is, the outer circumference of the bearing 2 is fixed to a main body frame by the pressure releasing member 1 so that deformation may be limited to the minimum.</p> |
