PURPOSE:To miniaturize a preheating capacitor and reduce the noise of a lamp current. CONSTITUTION:Either one end of filament electrodes 13a, 13b of a discharge lamp 13 is connected to a DC power source 11 through an impedance circuit 12, and another one end of the filament electrodes of the discharge lamp 13 is connected to a high frequency current source 14 through a capacitor 15 for cutting the DC component. A preheating capacitor 16 is connected between the other ends of the filament electrodes of the discharge lamp 13. |
