Measuring imbalances on different rotor types - measuring centrifugal forces induced by test wt. and evaluating results to calibrate measurement system

Measuring imbalances involves measuring centrifugal forces in the measurement plane caused by test wts. (T1, T2) circulating in different planes perpendicular to the rotor (1) axis and at defined radii about the axis during test cycles. The forces are evaluated to calibrate the imbalance measurement system. The effects are measured in more than two measurement planes different from the wt. circulation planes during each cycle. Combinations of two measurement values associated with a rotor type are evaluated for rotor type specific calibration and the imbalance vectors determined in associated measurement planes. ADVANTAGE - Unambiguous plane separation is achieved for different types of rotor without increasing costs for given measurement system.
