摘要 A spinning rotor has a shaft mounted on at least two bearing disks which are smooth on both sides and have no features which can cause air turbulence at high speed. The sides can be plane or convex and consist of light alloy. They can be in the form of side covers attached by adhesives. An open-end spinning rotor is attached to a shaft which is supported in two pairs of bearing disks and is driven by a tangential belt. The bearing disks have smooth side covers which can be flat or convex to reduce air turbulence. The covers are attached to the body of the bearing disk by rivetting, by clips or by adhesives. At rotor speeds of about 100,000 r.p.m. the power reduction is about 6-10 watts per rotor. ADVANTAGE - Reduces the power consumption of high speed open-end spinning.
