The hydraulic clamping element is for a tool. The housing has a bottom (8) and an upper (9) portion. The bottom portion has a threaded flange which screws into the upper portion and there is a small opening (4) in the flat portion of the bottom portion. The two portions are sealed together by a sealing ring (3). A piston (1) extends through a bore (13) in the end of the upper portion. It has a collar with a conical surface (12) bearing on a matching conical surface (11) on a clamping piston (7) sliding in the upper portion of the housing. A collar (14) on the end of the piston (1) engages with a groove in the end of the clamping piston. USE - Hydraulic clutch assembly holding tool of workpiece.
