A support which is basically of gastight construction but is to be gas-permeable in selected wall regions (5) is produced by extruding a porous main body (3) composed of a spinel and to apply at least one interlayer (4) of Ca-ZrO2 to match the coefficient of expansion and to improve the chemical compatibility, and finally, after masking eg. with wax in order to leave the porous wall regions (5) untouched, to apply a sealing layer eg. of yttrium-stabilised zirconium oxide (6) and to sinter the entire system. <IMAGE> |
