The present invention relates to herbicidal compositions containing a urea compound represented by the following formula [I]: <CHEM> [wherein Ar is any one of a group represented by the formula: <CHEM> (wherein R<1> to R<5> independently represent a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or a lower alkoxy group, R<6> represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxyl group, or a hydroxyl group; a pair of R<1> and R<5> or a pair of R<5> and R<6> each, taken together, may represent an alkylene linkage which may be substituted by lower alkyl group, and may form 4 to 6 membered-ring with carbon atoms to which they are bound, or R<1> and R<2>, taken together, may form an ethylenedioxyl linkage, or R<4> and R<5>, taken together, may form a dichloromethylene linkage), A represents <CHEM> (wherein X represents a hydrogen atom, a chlorine atom, a nitro group or a trifluoromethyl group) and B represents a hydrogen atom, methyl group or methoxy group] and (ii) a compound represented by the following formula [a]: <CHEM> (wherein n is 1 or 2, Y is a chlorine atom) or 3,6-dichloropicolinic acid, 2,4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid, or 4-amino-6-tert-butyl-3-methylthio-1,2,4-triazine-5(4H)one.
