摘要 PURPOSE:To accelerate the atomization of fuel at a white smoke emitting range in an engine and thereby aim at the promotion of reduction in the white smoke, by variably controlling impressed pressure to a plunger member checking the lift of a needle valve so as to cause it to go up insomuch that engine's suction pressure temperature drops to some extent. CONSTITUTION:At a white smoke emitting range, a pressure control valve 21 is controlled its operation with a duty signal being made up of what the fundamental duty ratio is compensated with the specified compensation factor. And, in proportion as those of suction air temperature T, cooling temperature (t) and atmospheric temperature P go down, that is, insomuch that suction air compression temperature at a combustion chamber being varied due to these various elements becomes dropped, its operation is compensated so as to cause fuel pressure acting on a plunger member 18 of a fuel injection nozzle 7 to go up. With this constitution, when an engine is in an operating state that is liable to emit white smoke, lift control over a needle valve 16 of the nozzle 17 takes place in the state that the needle valve 16 is lifted in a throttle range so that fuel atomization is accelerated, and reduction in the white smoke is promotable in an effective manner.
