PURPOSE:To obtain the magnetic recording medium having good still durability by using higher tri-carboxylate of admantane triol in a magnetic layer and back coat layer. CONSTITUTION:The higher tri-carboxylate of the admantane triol is expressed by generation formula, such as formula I. In this formula, Z: a hydrogen atom or hydroxyl group; R1, R2, R3: respectively 4 to 30 alkyl groups or cycloalkyl groups which may be the same as or different from each other. The triester expressed by the formula I is made to exist in the magnetic layer provided on the front surface of a base body or the back coat layer provided on the rear surface of the base body or the magnetic layers and back coat layers provided on both the front and rear surfaces of the base body. The magnetic recording medium which has the smaller coefft. of dynamic friction under various conditions of a high temp. and low temp. than the coefft. of dynamic friction of the conventional magnetic tape, has the good still durability and decreases the contamination of a magnetic head is obtd. in this way. |
