PURPOSE:To enable navigation to be performed positively and at the same time an intermittent operation function to be fully utilized by reducing a setting time of the intermittent operation time to 1/n (n; a desired number) while the navigation function is in operation. CONSTITUTION:A title item is provided with a position-measurement portion 1 which mainly consists of a GPC receiver, etc., and a control portion 3 where various kinds of controls are performed based on the position-measurement data signal which is input from the position-measurement portion 1. Processing of intermittent operation (power save) where a power supply of the position- measurement portion 1 is turned on for each time T0 at the control portion 3, the ON state is maintained for an amount of time T1, and then the power supply is turned off and a processing of navigation function for guiding a user to a target position which is set by a key-input portion 9 are performed. Then, when navigation is performed during execution of the power-save function, the time T0 is reduced to 1/n. Then, when a current position enters a region which is m times larger than a specified region, the power-saving function is suspended, thus enabling a target position to be detected positively by the navigation function. |
