The invention relates to an instrument designed for easily picking fruit from trees. It is made up of a cylinder which is totally open at its upper part, the bottom ending in a neck (4) and mounted on a pole (rod) (5). It includes, on its upper perimeter, one or more oblique cutouts (1-2-3). The user traps the fruit in the cylinder and then, using a rotational movement given to the pole, brings the stalk of the fruit up to the point (2), by virtue of the slope (1-2) and the stop piece (3), at which point the pressure exerted detaches it from the fruit. <IMAGE>
