A method of forming a jet on a plastic tube blank, in which method the plastic tube blank (1) is heated within the area of the jet to be formed, the jet is formed by stretching the plastic tube blank within the heated area in such a way that a tapering jet (12) is formed within said area, the heated area is cooled and the plastic tube blank is cut to define an end of the jet. To provide a jet (12) stiff and thin enough and in an accurately defined form, the plastic tube blank (1) is heated at the end thereof, whereby it is stretched by positioning a drift (6) within the heated end and to adhere to this and by displacing the drift to a certain distance from the plastic tube blank. |
