PURPOSE:To prevent the error of range-finding by using plural infrared light emitting diodes(IRED) attached to a remote controller so that a picture out of focus may not be taken even when a photographer is out of a range-finding area at the time of remote control self-photographing and even when voltage drops on the remote control device side. CONSTITUTION:Two IREDs 12 and 13 which are successively turned on by the operation of various switches 11 are arranged at specified intervals in the transmitter 10 of the remote control device 10. Meanwhile, a PSD for detecting information on the incident angle of respective light beams from the IREDs 12 and 13 through a light receiving lens 15 and a distance calculation circuit 17 for calculating a distance from the PSD to a camera main body 14 and the transmitter 10 are provided in the camera main body 14, then range-finding is performed by utilizing two similar triangles opposed to the lens 15. |
