PURPOSE:To realize relatively stable operation of ultrasonic motor even upon fluctuation of frequency in driving circuit due to variation of temperature or the like. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric oscillator 1 is brought into contact, at the opposite ends thereof, with the outer peripheral face of a rotary shaft. The piezoelectric oscillator 1 is provided with four electrodes 15a, 15a, 15b, 15b which are applied with voltages from AC power supplies 16, 17. One 15b of the diagonally connected electrodes is applied with a voltage Vosincut from the power supply 16 whereas the other electrode 15a is applied with a voltage Vocoscut from the power supply 17. |
