PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of noise by forming a circular arc part on the center of the top part, and straight line parts which connect the end parts of said arc part straight to contact starting points, between said arc part and said contact starting points of tooth surfaces, in the outward mating tooth of the drive gear of a gear pump. CONSTITUTION:The top part 30 of the outward mating tooth 17 of a drive gear 15 is formed in a trochoidal curve or a curve approximate to it, and consists of a circular arc part 30a with a radius R1, which is brought in contact with the top part of an inward mating tooth 16 at its seal point, at the center, and straight lines 30b, 30c which extend from this circular arc part 30a straight toward the contact starting points P2, P3 of tooth flanks 17a, 17b. Thereby, contact between each of the top parts of the inward and outward mating gears, in a range without need of sealing, is removed, preventing the generation of noise. |
