PURPOSE:To prevent generation of abnormal noises by supporting a driving gear on an input shaft, holding the gear under pressure in between a thrust bearing fixed to one side opposite to the driving shaft around the input shaft and a thrust washer back-supported to a spring which pressurizes the other side opposite to the driving gear, and thereby always properly holding an axial position of the driving gear. CONSTITUTION:Ahead and backing hydraulic clutches 27F, 27R are arranged between ahead and backing gears 25, 26 around a center of an input shaft 16. The clutch 27F is operated by advancing of a position 30, and returned by a returning spring 34 bringing abount an unoperated condition. The returning spring 34 is supported by a thrust washer 35 and a thrust bearing 36. The ahead gear 35 is sandwiched between a thrust bearing 72A and the thrust washer 35. The position of the gear 35 is kept constant irrespective of the operated/ unoperated conditions of the clutch 27F. The contact with an object gear is kept so constant that abnormal noises are not generated. The backing gear 26 has the same construction. |
