This invention deals with a hip prosthesis, in particular of the type which is applicable without cement, and includes a part to be applied to the femur, comprised of a metal shank (1), intended to be inserted into the marrow cavity of the femur, and whose upper end is joined with a fixing pin (2), to which the femur's spherical head is applied. Between the shank (1) and the pin (2), a collar (3) is interposed, which rests on the surface of the head of the neck of the femur. According to the invention, in the upper part of the shrank (1), joined to the upper part of the femur and directly under the collar (3), several holes, openings, and channels, or the like (4), are provided for, so as to allow for the incorporation of the shrank, thanks to the bony bridges resulting from the osteogenic processes; while the collar (3) has several openings (10), which are arranged in such a way, so as to permit the introduction of a scalpel in the area of the holes, openings, and channels, or the like (4), in order to carry out breakage of the said bony bridges. |
