摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a traction drive fluid from inexpensive starting materials, excellent in traction coefficient within a wide temp. range, esp. within a high temp. range, as is apparent from the curve 1 in Fig.1 according to a simple method. CONSTITUTION:One base material which is a specific cyclopentadiene fused-ring hydrocarbon consisting of at least one polymer obtd. by heat polymn. of a cyclopentadiene or heat copolymn. of a cyclopentadiene with an alpha-olefin and/or an arom. monovinylhydrocarbon is blended with 5-40wt.% another base material which is a specific cyclopentadiene petroleum resin constituted of a heat copolymer of a cyclopentadiene with an alpha-olefin and/or an arom. vinylhydrocarbon or its hydrogenated deriv. to prepare a traction drive fluid.
