PURPOSE:To manufacture SMC not generating the directional properties for the strength of a molded product by mixing reinforced fiber composed of specified short and long fibers with thermosetting resin paste. CONSTITUTION:Short and long fibers are manufactured by clamping and cutting the same between a rotary cutter 11 and a rubber roll 12 of a cutting device 1. In the case of press molding carried out by using SMC composed of thermosetting resin paste mixed with reinforced fiber composed of 5-30wt.% of short fiber of 1-5mm length and 95-70wt.% of long fiber of 12-50mm length, the long fiber is not oriented in the direction turbulent to the short fiber in the constant resin flowing direction at a terminal where the resin in a mold is flowed when press molding is carried out, and the directional properties are not generated in the strength of a molded product. |
