PURPOSE:To enhance dyeing properties and the long-term storage stability of a transfer material by forming the dyeing layer provided on a base material using a copolyester resin respectively containing a specific copolymerized acid component and a specific copolymerized alcohol component as main components. CONSTITUTION:A transfer material for thermal transfer printing is formed by providing a dyeing layer on a base material. In this case, the dyeing layer is formed using a copolyester resin respectively containing at least one kind of alicyclic dicarboxylic acid as a copolymerized acid component and at least one kind of alicyclic diol as a copolymerized alcohol component as main components. The copolymerized acid component is formed from a mixture consisting of alicyclic dicarboxylic acid and other polycarboxylic acid component in a mol ratio of 5/95-95/5. The copolymerized alcohol component is formed from a mixture consisting of alicyclic diol and other polyol component in a mol ratio of 5/95-95/5.
