PURPOSE:To suppress the lowering of whiteness and to enhance the storage stability of a recording image by adding 3-di(n-butyl)amino--6-methyl-7- phenylaminofluorane as the basic dye constituting a part of the thermal recording layer provided on a support. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording material is formed by providing a thermal recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored basic dye, a developer forming a color upon the contact with said dye and a specific compound represented by formula on a support. As the basic dye, 3-di(n-butyl)amino-6- methyl-7-phenylaminofluorane and/or 3-di(n-butyl)amino-7-(o-chlorophenylamino) fluorane are added. By this method, the thermal recording material not generating the lowering of the whiteness of the recording layer even if preserved under a high temp. condition and capable of stably keeping a recording image is obtained. |
