PURPOSE:To provide a rubber composition capable of giving tire treads having improved wet skid resistance, rolling resistance, abrasion resistance and ice skid resistance which are well balanced. CONSTITUTION:A rubber composition for tire treads comprises (A) 60-80 pts.wt. of styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber having a bonded styrene content of 10-30wt.% and (B) 40-20 pts.wt. of a composition comprising B1: butadiene polymer rubber having a glass transition point of -85 deg.C and B2: butyl halide polymer rubber in a weight ratio of 70/30 to 30/70. |
