PURPOSE:To furnish the spot welding method of aluminum alloy sheets without the occurrence of defects such as voids or nugget cracking on a spot welded joint. CONSTITUTION:In performing spot welding on the aluminum alloy sheets, after nuggets are formed, a tempering current of 30-50% of a welding current is applied two or five cycles without releasing high pressurization. Conpequently, the manufacture of the spot welded joint of the aluminum alloy sheets free from the defects and excellent in reliability and durability is made possible.
