摘要 An arrangement for measuring the hysteresis of permanent magnet specimens (16) contains an electromagnet generating alternating magnetic flux with a measurement gap for the specimen between two pole shoes (11, 12). Two adjacent coils (17a, 17b; 18a, 18b) measure the flux density in at least one of the pole shoes, whose axes are perpendicular to the gap, which contains a field strength sensor (23). The measurement coils are at a distance from the surfaces of the pole shoes bounding the gap and there is an annular gap in the shoe between the coil end and measurement gap. The radial gap width is smaller than the coil thickness and no greater than 0.5 mm. USE/ADVANTAGE - Determining magnetisation characteristics of ferromagnetic specimens. Very high induction voltage, and hence very large useful signal, achieved because of little disturbance of field in specimen and air gap.
