Steel mats which are used for reinforcing concrete structures are bent to the required shape by means of a bending machine. The bending machine has a frame consisting of side members (2, 2') which support a fixed horizontal beam (4). This beam carries bending rollers which are mounted on brackets which can be positionally adjusted along the length of the beam. The frame also supports a bending beam (5) which can be swung about bearings (7). The mat (6) is placed under the rollers of the fixed beam whilst the bending beam is swung upwards. Rollers mounted on the bending beam bend the mat upwards. USE/ADVANTAGE - Machine for bending concrete reinforcement mats. The machine can be adjusted to suit any size of mat.
