PURPOSE:To increase the critical speed of a flywheel device having a vertical type rotary mechanism and suppress its vertical and horizontal vibration amplitudes, by supporting its lower part shaft with a static pressure journal oil bearing further arranging a static pressure damper. CONSTITUTION:To a lower part shaft 3 a static pressure journal oil bearing 12 is concentrically mounted through a slight gap, and oil is supplied by an oil supplying device. While to a disc 13 fixed to the bottom end of the lower part shaft 3 a pad 14 is mounted through a prescribed gap, and oil is supplied to between the disc 13 and the pad 14 to constitute a static pressure oil damper 15. In this constitution, the quantity and the pressure of lubricating oil can obtain the rigidity in a transverse direction of the static pressure journal oil bearing 12 further remove the effect of thrust load. Accordingly the critical speed in a flywheel rotary system can be increased. While lubricating oil between the disc 13 and the pad 14 performs a damping action for the vertical vibration. In this way, the critical speed can be increased to enable the suppression for vibration amplitudes in vertical and horizontal directions. |
