Optical disc for information recording - is divided into two areas of memory with one area having CAV mode and other CLV mode of recording
摘要
The optical disc system has ring formed (R) recording regiosn that are defined by different radii (Ra,Rb). Within the region are two recording areas (R1,R2). The first area uses a constant angular velocity (CAV) mode of recording, white the second uses a constant linear velocity (CLV) mode. Tracks (T1) are divided into blocks (B1) that represent units for recording of data. The blocks have different forms depending upon the mode of the area. The number of blocks per track also vary between the different areas. ADVANTAGE - Allows two different recording modes to be used on one disc.
