A device is incorporated which heats the region of the tumour during magnetic field treatment. The field strength is pref. at least 100 mT. The magnetic alternating field is impulse-form with the impulses having steep rise edges, so that the rise of the magnetic induction in the treated region amounts to 10 to 100000 T/s. ADVANTAGE - Overcomes problems of known hyperthermia treatment where sound tissue can be damaged.
