The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of plant nutrient compositions based on earthworm-produced humus by stirring the earthworm-produced humus with an alkaline substance in an amount of 5 to 30 % by weight calculated for the earthworm-produced humus, then setting the humidity content of the mixture thus obtained to 70 to 80 % by weight, leaving the mixture to stand for 1 to 12 hours, then mixing the same with trace- or macronutrients of an amount of 5 to 1000 % by weight and with earthworm-produced humus of 20 to 1000 % by weight calculated for the weight of the mixture and drying the granules thus obtained.
