The line deflection circuit is adaptable for different line frequencies, using a transistor switch (T2) inserted in the path of the operating voltage (UB) for the line end stage (T1) and caused to conduct during the line scan duration. The switch pulses controlling the transistor switch (T2) are obtained from the collector of a further transistor (T4) supplied at its base with the line frequency pulse voltage (Uc1) together with a control current (ic) from a current source (S). Pref. the line frequency pulse voltage (Uc1) is supplied via an AC coupling capacitor (C5) and an integrator (R4,C4).
