In prodn. of mouldings or articles from heat-formable synthetic films, strips or plates, by the negative deep-drawing process, where the film, etc., pref. stressed or pre-stressed, is put into the negative deep-draw mould, under a pressure difference and with heating, the novelty is that the strip, etc. is grained and/or given surface decoration during moulding; the graining and/or decoration is provided by a negative deep-drawn mould with a porous, pref. micro-porous, air-permeable mould surface, with a layer or surface contg, a metal, metal alloy, metal micro-particles, ceramic-metal and/or ceramic metal micro-particles, with a layer of metal or metal particles less than 80 (less than 60) microns thick. A temp. difference of more than 30 (more than 60) deg.C is maintained between the appts. and the film etc.
