A method and apparatus for temperature regulation in a circulating fluidized bed reactor (10) where the flue gases are conducted in the upper section (32) of the reaction chamber (12) past heat transfer surfaces (54, 56) in contact therewith. Passage of the gases is limited in various heat transfer zones in the upper section of the reaction chamber by either a partition wall (34), arranged in the upper section of the reaction chamber and being provided with openings (42, 44, 46) at least one of which is adjustable, or gas flow adjusting means (100) disposed in the gas flow in the gas outlet (82) of the particle separator (80). |
